My experience at BJ’s was overall decent, but there’s definitely room for improvement. The store itself was clean, organized, and easy to navigate, which I appreciated right away. That said, I’m a bit old school, I value genuine human interaction when I shop. The heavy push toward self-checkout took away from that experience for me. Sometimes, it’s not just about getting in and out, but about the small moments of connection that make a place feel welcoming. I also noticed that a few staff members seemed unsure about where certain items were located. It wasn’t a major issue, but it did slow things down a bit and made the experience feel less smooth than it could be. Overall, it was an okay visit. With a bit more staff training and a better balance between technology and personal service, this location could easily elevate the customer experience from “okay” to genuinely great.

I now enjoy shopping at BJ’s because I can easily scan and clip my coupons and pay without the hassle of waiting for a machine or cashier, using their app. As soon as I step into the store, I log into their Wi-Fi, and my shopping experience begins. One of the main reasons I enjoy shopping at BJ’s is that their staff are friendly and courteous, making it feel like a shopping date with my wife. My wife usually does all the shopping, and since I discovered this option, I’m happily able to make it to BJ’s every two weeks.

I came to the checkout location and a young lady asked me to go to the 20th and above register. I told her I didn’t wanna go to that register cause I didn’t wanna take my stuff out she told me but either way you’re gonna have to take your stuff out. I asked her how do you know if this 20 items or more? Did you count my items? And she walked away. I went to the 20 or less lane, how to get ready to scan my stuff. Another lady came up to me and told me that I have to go and let somebody scam me out. I said why do I have to go and let somebody scam me out, you can’t tell if I have more than 20 items. You didn’t even bother to count to see if I had more than 20 Items. I said you wanna count, she kept run her mouth. She kept pressing me. I told her well you can scan it. I said it looked like you wanna scan it so bad you can scan it. She scanned the items and she forgot what she scanned so she had to go back and look on the screen to see if she scanned everything now I don’t want the groceries because now you’re making me feel like I’m a thief and I come into this BJ’s all the time either night or day and I have never been talked to forcefully for me to go and let somebody scan my groceri

I was ordering from the Deli dept and requested for the deli associate to change their gloves before cutting my liverwurst because she was handling other materials before that. And what I received was some casings with my order. She cut right tru the casing and it's all CONTAMINATED! including the meat cutter. Everything is garbage. Wow I guess she wasn't to happy about the request lol. Now this should never happened again! They might need to consider basic customer service. 🤔 So I go to customer service and ask the associate for the manager, instead of her telling me he's standing right next to her or him introducing himself as one she's asking me questions about what I needed to talk to him about. When I explained the issue they had at the deli is when he decided to introduce himself as one of bjs managers. Good stuff you gotta love it.
